Travel Poems - Poems 2 the Point

Posted by François DulaPay on June 29, 2016.

Whether we travel the world or never leave our neighborhood, we may be interested in the adventures of others who explore distant lands. We hope that you enjoy and will share these Poems 2 the Point travel thoughts and realities. “Life Is Travel and Travel Is Life”

Horizons are there …
To be conquered!

Travel afar and discover
The strength of your spirit,
The boundaries of your heart and
The values of your soul.

A true traveler has
Never enough destinations.

Around the World

Oh, my precious, accept my ardor,
If there are tasks to be performed
To assure you of my true love and
To gain your affection,
Surely I would go
On foot around the world,
Climb solo the highest peak, or
Swim across the widest ocean, as
All this is nothing but
A morning stroll,
An afternoon’s exercise or
An evening dip
When the awaiting rewards are
Having your fragrance fill my nostrils,
Feeling your breath passing my cheeks,
Granting me to satisfy all of your longings, and
Being touched by the one of my desire.
My love,
Let us therefore unite in passion,
Then and only then,
Without doubt,
Our lives will be enlightened and
Our future enriched.

Odyssey Prayer

My Dear God,

I know You are there,
And will place my safety in Your care.
Grant me wit when making routes and plans,
Let me travel without being tense.
In time You will show me the way
To the right destination and I’ll rejoice that day.
Teach me patience and let me see,
Regardless the peril, in Christ Jesus I will be free.

Thank You for my health, strength and mind,
Guide me so I will search and find.
Thank You for the days of sun and rain,
Help me to praise and not to journey in vain.
Thank You for providing my daily food,
Give me sound judgment in situations of bad and good.
Thank You for the greatness of knowing You,
Please Lord keep me close in everything I do.

At the beginning of every night,
I call upon Your love and might
To protect me, while in my tent,
From men, animal or a nature’s accident.
When I sleep please hover over me,
At dawn bless me with wisdom so I can be
Your servant in word and deed.
Thank You Lord for listening to all my odyssey needs.

Traveling Needs

Travel with joy,
Travel with confidence, and ...
Travel with faith.

During an Odyssey

You Encounter

Thirst and Hunger,
Sleeplessness and Discomfort,
Injuries and Sickness,
Bad Weather and Setbacks,
Despair and Regrets.

You Experience

Joy and Sadness,
Excitement and Sorrow,
Awe and Disappointments,
Good and Bad People,
Peacefulness and Frightening Situations.

Staying Home

No Borders and No Horizons,
No Gains and No Experiences,
No Discoveries and No Exploits,
No Revelations and No Insights,
No Knowledge and No Discernments.

“Traveling is the Bedrock for a Better Understanding”

My Precious

You occupy
Each traveling day
The enclaves of my heart.
You make
Our feet walk the ancient routes.
You make
Us lay down under tropical skies and
You make
Our nights filled with desert tranquility.
Thank you, my precious, for
Your true and unfailing love.
