Poems of faith are important for reflection. They lift our spirits. Faith instills courage and comfort in times of need. Enjoy and share this collection of Poems 2 the Point about faith.

Without Christ ...

The politician says:
“Give me votes and
I shall serve and accomplish.”

The craftsman says:
“Give me tools and
I shall produce many products.”

The investor says:
“Give me funds and
I shall show financial gain.”

The laborer says:
“Give me health and
I shall work daily.”

The thinker says:
“Give me time and
I shall grow in understanding.”

Yet, without Christ
Nothing can nor will be established.

Year’s End

Heavenly Father another year has gone by,
In which there were tribulations and pains.
In prayers, we often asked for the reasons why,
Not always understanding your blessings and our gains.

How true it is when we completely surrender
To your calling, your Word and your way,
We experience the Shepherd, who is caring and tender
And will guide us in the coming year, every day.

It is in our own selfish interest, stubbornness and fear,
That we reject your promise of true rest.
We pray, dear God, give us strength so we can bear
What was and is, and to stand in your test.

Thank you Lord for the year that has past.
We pray for faith to be able to see beyond
Knowing that your companionship will last
To the end of the age, when we accept your bond.

Thank you Father for our health.
May we treat our bodies as your temple,
Not being concerned about earthly wealth,
But being for others a true Christian example.

Thank you Lord for housing, clothing and food.
For studying your Word and listening to your voice.
May we be always meek and never rude,
Shine your light upon us when we make a choice.

Thank you Father for the everyday safety on the road.
For our Christian friends — to us so very dear,
With whom to share our burdens and to ease the load.
Praises to you, O Lord, for all these blessings of last year.

Amen.

Thanksgiving Day

Right now is Thanksgiving Day,
A moment to think and to praise.
Even though you did not ask, but if I may,
Reflect my thoughts in some special ways.

We do have our health,
No problem getting food.
We are not rich, but we have wealth,
Cause He knows our sorrow and agonizing mood.

We can hear, smell and speak,
So many are not blessed with that.
Hope we both realize and seek
To stay with Him so our challenge will be met.

Our aim is always for more,
Difficult to be satisfied and at peace.
We like to fly as the eagles soar,
But then — when His stream of blessings freeze?

We complain or get mad at our mate,
Because we could not make a blessing count.
Let us love Him before it is too late,
Only then will our lives be rich and sound.

Let us give thanks regardless of our pain,
Appreciating that we can work and see
God's hand in our loss and our gain.
It is all that He established for you and me.

Giving thanks is a good attitude,
It makes us richer every day.
Show to one another our gratitude,
Especially to Him on this Thanksgiving Day.
