Master Burying His Dog
When the master had buried his dog,
He looked down with tearful eyes at his buddy's grave and
said softly:
"The Egyptians received their pride and joy from their pharaohs,
The Greeks received their pride and joy from their philosophers, but
You - You gave me more than pride and joy.
You engulfed me day after day with
Your TRUE character,
Your TRUE affection and
Your TRUE love."
("Alas, where can I find such a human?" he thought.)
